Here is the Cozy Rosie ® story as told from it's inventor:
As with many new products, the Cozy Rosie® was designed as a matter of convenience. When my first child was born I would take her for walks to get a little fresh air and some exercise. Because we live in the Northeast, it was frequently quite cool, and on those days I would put a blanket over my daughter. Many times the blanket would slip off and get tangled in the wheels or get dirty from dragging on the ground. By the time my third child was born, I was tired of pulling the blanket out of the wheels and decided there had to be a better way to keep her warm.I have had an interest in sewing since I was in high school and over the years have made many types of items: booties for babies, shirts for my husband, and even a wedding dress. So, one day I brought the stroller into my sewing room and created Cozy Rosie®. My youngest daughter, whom I named it after, loved the blanket and we would use it on our walking trips into town. Soon my friends were saying, "Wow, what a great blanket. Can you make one for me?" Then it dawned on me that if all of my friends wanted a Cozy Rosie®, other parents would also appreciate the convenience of this unique blanket.
Sew Beautiful (a partnership) was established in May, 1997. My husband, Stuart, and I made a commitment to full scale production and marketing. We found a US manufacturer who shares our concern for quality and allows us to deliver Cozy Rosie® in a timely and cost effective manner. Using only the best materials, we made Cozy Rosie® out of Polarfleece®, so it is warm, soft and durable, and we use Velcro® brand fasteners. The product was first available to customers in March, 1998, and it has been well received. Some customer comments: "I just want to thank you for my new Cozy Rosie®, I absolutely adore it!"
